David Guetta... David is astonished by his fame. "I have been a successful DJ for a long time, but it's just that the DJ world was not where it is now – at all. So it's like a new world almost. It's surprising – it's shocking, but in a nice way." He plays colossal venues. "Sometimes I'm in a place where I've seen really famous rock or pop artists when I was younger and I was, Wow! I cannot believe that I'm filling those places now. It's crazy." Responsible for global hits such as I Gotta Feeling, Club Can't Handle Me and When Love Takes Over, the DJ machine has built a house music empire on collaborations with world-class pop and R'n'B stars. They've seen him take out numerous Grammys, fill arenas normally reserved for only the biggest of rock bands, amass over 25 million fans on Facebook and half a billion views on YouTube. In February, he was also named the world's most popular DJ, claiming the number one position in the DJ Mag 100 popularity poll. And next up is his hit song with Chris Brown, I Can Only Imagine, but he says he'd rather "shoot himself" than produce or act in the video. "I'm having fun when I’m shooting it, it’s interesting that hundreds of people that you don’t even know are there, but it’s just not my world." "I really believe that I suck when it comes to acting, every time, and that’s really what makes it such a pain for me because I’m kind of shy in front of the camera and I don’t know why, but it’s just the way it is." Guetta headlined a packed Creamfields at Fox Studios, Moore Park, earlier this evening and the international superstar did not disappoint. David Guetta profile... Worldwide producer/DJ, Grammy winning, platinum selling, superstar. Guetta is currently riding the wave of success following the release of his 5th studio album ‘Nothing But The Beat.’ Undoubtedly one the world's most famous producers, he has worked with the ‘cream of the crop’ of hit maker from Madonna to Sebastian Ingrosso. In addition to selling more than 5 million albums, Guetta produced the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” (highest-selling digital release in music history). “It doesn’t matter if I make a beat that’s going to be a song on the radio, or if I make a record that’s meant to please DJs,” Guetta says of continuing to bridge the gap between electronic and pop, “I always just think of making people dance”. Click Here To View Photos Tonight the legendary Seal played to an appreciative audience at the soon to be demolished Sydney Entertainment Centre. Seal sounded and looked great, but at times was a little hard to see, as the background was quite dark in places. The song that many came to hear live was 'Kiss from a Rose', which appeared in the soundtrack to the 1995 comic book movie 'Batman Forever'. As you would expect, most of the fans went home very happy. We wish Seal well with the rest of his tour and stay in Australia. Other news Speculation whether or not Seal and Australian singer - songwriter, and co judge on 'The Voice', Delta Goodrem are at item, however Seal tells news media that they are just good friends. On March 10, 2012, Seal shared the stage with Kanye West, Soul Rebels Brass Band and Snoop Dogg at Brad Pitt’s Night to Make It Right Foundation New Orleans after-party, hosted by comedian Aziz Ansari. The charity event, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, raised money to build homes for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Seal has cancelled some of his Australian dates via promoter Dainty Group. The Dainty website states: We are sad to announce that Seal’s scheduled shows in Perth and Canberra will unfortunately not proceed, due to ongoing scheduling conflicts with Seal’s international and Australian work schedule. A spokesman for Seal said: "Due to further adjustments to Seal’s hectic touring and filming schedule while in Australia, we’ve had to make the difficult decision not to proceed with these two shows. However, the remaining shows in Melbourne, Adelaide, Gold Coast and Sydney will definitely proceed as scheduled.: Thank you to those involved with making tonight a success. Rowland inked a deal with lifestyle brand TW Steel many months ago, and they have decided the time is right to push the campaign forward in the Asia Pacific region, and "Sin City" Sydney is seen as a potential key market. Australian media, marketing and music industry experts will be watching and listening closely, as the brand strives for new heights as the same time as Rowland's star continues to climb. Kelly Rowland profile... Kelly Rowland is an American recording artist, songwriter, dancer, actress and television personality. She rose to fame as one of the founding members of the American R&B girl group Destiny's Child, one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time. Rowland has sold four million solo albums and 18 million solo/featured singles worldwide. Rowland began her solo career in 2002 with the release of her debut album Simply Deep, which contained influences of alternative-R&B and rock music. It included her joint worldwide number-one single "Dilemma" with rapper Nelly, as well as subsequent singles "Stole", "Can't Nobody" and "Train on a Track". Following the group's disbandment in 2005, Rowland released her second solo effort Ms. Kelly in 2007. Considerably less successful than its predecessor, the album produced the hit singles "Like This" and "Work". In 2009, Rowland scored her second number-one hit with French DJ David Guetta on his single, "When Love Takes Over". The song resulted into their 2010 joint single "Commander". This was Rowland's third number-one hit on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart and first offering from her third album Here I Am. In 2011, Rowland's single "Motivation" featuring Lil Wayne reached number-one on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Supafest 2012, Sydney, Australia; Chris Brown, Kelly Rowland, Lupe Fiasco, Naughty By Nature and more -
Chris Brown It was a hot crowd, despite more controversy than usual for a music festival on Australian soil. ANZ Stadium at Homebush, Sydney, was the venue. This concert was very loud in buzz leading up to the event, as well as in actual decibels, with quite a few folks likely to be tempted to get their hearing tested soon after the Sydney leg is over. ANZ Stadium is a licensed premise, and many in the crowd enjoyed a drink no doubt. As always with large concerts, there's a range of reviews coming in, and we'll be offering a more detailed report in the coming days and fan feedback continues to come in. Justice Crew And Johnny Ruffo Support One Direction; Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park, Sydney, Australia
Click here to view photos: Today One Direction mania broke loose at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion, but credit where its due to both Justice Crew and Johnny Ruffo for adding extra substance to the style with today's young hunk musical performances. Friday 13th was lucky for about 3,000 Australian fans who got into the venue, and we think Justice Crew and Mr Ruffo helped British boy band One Direction make some of their own luck. There were lots of smiles all around and body language directed at the teen girl audience to send them into swoon mania. When JC and Ruffo had done their thing, it was time for the Main Event - One Direction, and they didn't disappoint (the teen fans that were falling over themselves even before the show began). One Direction - fans attention in One Direction daze globally... One Direction performed also their hit single What Makes You Beautiful on the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, which resulted in a star-studded audience sing-a-long. One Direction’s debut album, Up All Night, entered the charts at No.1 in 13 countries and has been certified triple platinum in Ireland, double platinum in the UK and Australia, and platinum in New Zealand. In six months they have sold more than 4.2 million records worldwide. Well Wishes To All Artists... We wish all of the performing artists well with their developing careers, and they shouldn't need too much luck, with all the airplay they are currently enjoying on Sydney, Melborne and Brisbane FM radio. That's showbiz. Australian media, marketing and music industry experts will be watching and listening closely, as all three of today's musical entities continue to strive to reach the top of the charts. Will the boy bands stay together, or should we expect a break up or break out performer, sooner, or later - stay tuned to this station. Johnny Ruffo Support One Direction

Click Here to View Photos Taylor Swift: You might have heard that Taylor Swift was spotted taking in the view of Sydney yesterday, including even catching a harbour cruise with her friends and family. Taylor is currently on tour in Australia, and has been hard to spot as she's been doing the rounds. The Aussie press spotted her boarding a boat in Sydney Harbour for an evening cruise. Taylor's first Sydney took place tonight at a jam packed Allphones Arena. The costumes and set were amazing, as a largely teenage girl audience of 14,000 or so cheered and screamed to their teen idol. Taylor seemed to love playing to the full Allphones Arena, playing five different guitars, two banjos, the piano and a ukele. We also counted at least four different costume changes. The country music icon is known for writing "13" on her hand before each show because it's her lucky number. Dozens of '13' signs were in the crowd, and some young ladies wrote it on their bodies also. Taylor told the press "I was born on the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first No.1 song had a 13-second intro and every time I've won an award I've been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter," she has previously said. We wish Taylor well on her amazing career to date and hope she enjoys the rest of her tour and stay in Australia. View Gallery Here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/evarinaldiphotography/sets/72157629138874914/ The weather in Sin City Sydney was wet, but spirits were sky high. Expectations were high and this years Mardi Gras delivered. The massive crowd was really well behaved and all of the police officers we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Mardi Gras was broadcast worldwide via the internet (powered by Optus) for the virgin time, and about 300,000 spectators crowded along Oxford St and took in the almost 3-hour long show. There was a wonderful spread of floats and all manner of glitter and sexy creations, with feathers boas, lots of colour, sequin and skin being all the rage. It's understood that in excess of 9100 friendly folks marched to Taylor Square. Some of our favs included Marilyn look-a-likes, cheerleaders, butterflies and polished up police. Dykes on Bikes and Love Muscle were both also very popular crowd pleasers. We counted about 20 of the 120 floats promoting marriage equality, pushing this year's theme of "Infinite Love" Many politicians got behind the cause, with Federal MPs Anthony Albanese and Tanya Plibersek, and State MPs Carmel Tebbutt, Penny Sharpe and Linda Burney all marching in Rainbow Labor’s marriage equality float. State MP Bruce Notley-Smith, who also spoke at the media media conference was on the GLBTI Liberals float. Many people feel that the amazing Kylie Minogue-themed float was the best. It was designed for Kylie to spec. Kylie made her first appearance at the Sydney Mardi Gras since 1998. Minogue, 43, said the event holds great memories for her having attended twice before. "It’s such a great way to celebrate the relationship between the gay community and myself and everything we have been through together," she said. "The city feels alive, it's something that is great for Sydney, great for Australia and I am so honoured to be a part of it.". It was mainly Kylie that also drew a massive crowd to the party at Hordern Pavillion - Royal Hall of Industries - Moore Park. News Updates... Kylie Minogue news... Yes, Kylie is returned to Mardi Gras Sydney tonight. Earlier in the day she put out to the universe: "Please dear, dear Sydney, just keep the rain away while we party, Kylie told Fairfax Media "A lot of effort is still going into the performance on Saturday night and, personally, I'm excited to see the parade and feel the spirit of the city, the spirit of the people and to be part of that is a beautiful thing." Her upcoming appearance at the Mardigrasland Party in the Entertainment Quarter is sold out. Its been 14 years since she graced Mardi Gras and said her 2012 return "just felt right". "It's hard to believe I've been in music for 25 years, and in showbiz even longer," she said. After Mardi Gras, she will present her music in a more stripped-back setting as part of the ongoing K25 celebrations. Kylie! Australia's pop queen performed at the Mardi Gras party. It as a 20-minute medley of songs stretching from her first album to her most recent, Aphrodite. Minogue's song arrangements are completely tailor-made for the show which took place at the Royal Hall of Industries. Kylie's show began at 2pm, suggesting she's still quite the night owl and party animal. 16 amazing talented dancers supported the pop princess as she wowed the crowd. Political and People Power outcomes on the way?... Last year, Barry O'Farrell announced that he would allow a conscious vote for NSW Liberal members on the issue of gay marriage. Prime Minister Julia Gillard allowed the same for her Labor Party members in 2011, resulting in the party voting in favour of the move. Greens senator Sarah Hansen-Young, who confessed she was "not a virgin" of the Mardi Gras, said the parade was an opportunity to celebrate how far the Marriage Equality Campaign had come in parliament. "We have several bills in parliament," she said. "Tony Abbott now has to step out of the way and let his party catch up with the people." The parade is an annual event by the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, which aims to raise the visibility of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex communities. Ms Hansen-Young advised the Mardi Gras was an important event not just for those involved but for the nation. "It (the parade) has grown to the point where it's not just the Sydney community but the whole Australian community saying yes, let's celebrate diversity," she said. Roxette Australian Tour; Sydney Entertainment Centre Double Shot 1927 Opens
Roxette have topped the charts three times down under in Australia and with a portfolio of massive hits including It Must Have Been Love, Joyride, Listen To Your Heart, How Do You Do, Sleeping In My Car, Dressed For Success and The Look, this is fully expected to be one of the best live music events of 2012. Last night they drew strong numbers at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, and tonight they did it once again. Promoter Live Nation had taken a chance of bringing the Swedish group out here after two other Australian promoters knocking them back. By all accounts Live Nation's punt has paid back dividends, both to the fans, the group, and to the bottom line. Scandanavian pop acts have an illustrious chart history here. Fellow Swede's ABBA could vouch for that. Entertainment industry experts have gone on record that its the Australia's 30 to 40 year old audience remembering the powerful and emotional songs that they heard in their youth that explains the strong drawing pull. It was back in 1995, not long after their commercial high spot, they didn't perform to so many people. Charm School is their first album in ten years and its built upon the foundation that made them great. The band is the platform for vocalist Marie Fredriksson and songwriter and guitarist Per Gessle. The appreciative crowd lapped up Dressed For Success, Joy Ride and The Look. 'It Must Have Been Love' was a definite karaoke moment to say the least. They combine really catchy numbers, solid voices, charisma, fashion sense and strong drawing power. The band is expected to continue to draw strong audience numbers while touring Australia. Tracks 1. 1927 were a perfect band to open things up for Roxette. The are an Aussie pop/rock band formed in Melbourne in 1987 with James Barton on drums, Bill Frost on bass guitar, his brother Garry Frost on guitar and keyboards, and Erik Weideman on vocals, guitar and keyboards. They were extremely popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their major hit songs "If I Could", "Compulsory Hero" and "That's When I Think of You" and their multi-platinum #1 album ...ish. Some of the crowd was so into 1927, it would be reasonable to suggest that for some fans 1927 were the stars, supported by Roxette. Whatever the case, it was an awesome double act. Tracks 1. Il Divo (divine male performer in Italian) performed at the world famous Sydney Opera House tonight - Valentine's Day in Australia. They are a multinational operatic pop vocal group created by music manager, executive, and reality TV star Simon Cowell. They are currently signed to Sony Music Entertainment. The group was originated in the UK, however most people believe they were formed in Italy. Il Divo is a group of four male singers: French pop singer Sébastien Izambard, Spanish baritone Carlos Marín, American tenor David Miller, and Swiss tenor Urs Bühler. To date, they have sold more than 26 million albums worldwide. Sebastien told the press: "We're so excited to be kicking off our 2012 tour in Australia. Valentines Day, performing at the Sydney Opera House is going to be such a memorable start to a world tour... it really feels like coming home.
